Drummer of the Day

The Grade IV Junior Drummer of the Day Award is presented annually to the most promising player of a traditional Scottish side-drum (snare drum).

The Scottish Society of Louisville gives this award in honor of William Wallace. Bill Wallace was a founding member of the Scottish Society of Louisville and on the Board of Directors at the start of the Society in 1993. While he was a piper himself and participated with many local pipe and drum bands, he always said the Highland Bagpipe would not sound as good as it does without a Drummer to keep the rhythm.
